Ladbrokes is moving full steam into the UK Online Bingo scene. First there was the news about the rumored purchase of Parlay Entertainment (www.parlaygroup.com), the leading bingo software provider.
Now, the sports betting and gambling giant has launched a two million pound marketing campaign to get players hoping for a full house at home.
This aggressive action is targeting the slump that land-based bingo hall operators like Rank are experiencing. Rank recently reported a 30 percent drop in revenues at its bingo clubs after the smoking ban.
While it is estimated that there are 3 million uk bingo players in halls, only 100,000 are currently playing online.
